It is that time of year that I go through all the images I captured throughout the previous year and choose a feature image. That image is then added to everything from my website header to social media and all marketing material for the new year.

Each year it is so hard to choose. The main requirement for the image is that it shows love, laughter, strength, and adventure. I feel like this sweet image embodies that. So, 2023’s feature image has been chosen!! And this little cutie has stolen the show. Be sure to check it out on my site too.

Being a family photographer is such a joy. I get to watch my families grow, capture important memories, and get to become friends. This year I have some clients that will be teens and I have been photographing since they were babies. I love it!

This past summer I had the privilege of meeting this sweet family and their little one was just the cutest. I got to photograph their family portraits at the UC Davis Arboretum, which was perfection. Even on a very humid and hot summer day. There was lots of giggles, kisses, and love.

One of my favorite things to do with families with little ones is to just let them play and snuggle. Capturing them just being them. And sometimes that means a baby doll may need to make it’s appearance. Just check out how absolutely precious these photos are. I cannot wait to capture this family again.
