Make It Official
Once we've nailed down the details, I'll send over your contract and invoice. Sign, pay, and you're officially on the calendar. I'll help with outfits and location questions along the way.
Show Up and Enjoy It
Your only job on session day is to be present. I'll take care of the posing, the prompts, and the chaos. Within seven to ten business days, your full gallery will be ready to download and enjoy.

A RELAXED EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH
I've been doing this long enough to know that the best family portraits happen when everyone forgets there's a camera. My entire process is built around making that happen. Unhurried, personal, and genuinely fun from the first message to the final image.
I CAPTURE
The moments that feel like your family.
Your gallery will be ready within ten business days of your session, sometimes sooner. During busy months it can stretch to fourteen. Either way, you'll get a notification the moment it's ready to view and download.
How long until we receive our photos?
Because I never want you to have to choose. Picking favorites from a gallery of your own family is stressful and the cost of adding images adds up fast. When you receive your gallery, it's yours. Every image, no surprise costs, no decisions to stress over. Just use them however you'd like.
Why do you include all images instead of limiting the number?
Most portrait sessions run between one and two hours depending on the package. That gives us plenty of time to warm up, let the kids settle in, and capture a variety of moments and locations. Mini sessions are the exception to this and when available they are 25 minutes.
How long is a session?
I'm always happy to help with this. Feel free to text me outfit photos before your session and I'll give you honest feedback. The goal is for everyone to look coordinated without looking matchy-matchy. Timeless over trendy, always. One tip I love to share: if you're planning to print a large image for your walls, look around your home first. Coordinate your outfit colors to the colors already in your space so when it goes up, it feels like it belongs there rather than competing with everything around it.
What should we wear?
I'm primarily a California photographer and travel all over the state for sessions. Growing up in Southern California and now based in Northern California means I know this state well and I'm happy to meet you wherever makes sense. I've traveled as far as New Hampshire and Chicago for sessions, so if you have something special in mind outside of CA, let's talk.
How far do you travel?
Sessions are held on location in Auburn and the surrounding Sacramento area, as well as Palm Desert. I help every client choose a location that fits their family's personality and the look they're going for.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions book up quickly, especially in spring and fall. I recommend reaching out at least two to four weeks in advance. Fall and holiday mini sessions begin filling up in August, so the earlier the better for those.
