A few years back Lea and I shared one of those college courses you would rather not think about ever again.  During said class we started a nice friendship along with a few other girls.  To my excitement a few months ago I learned Lea and Christian were expecting their 1st little bundle of joy!  I was/am so unbelievably happy for them.  Well, Lea contacted me about having portraits done and it just so happened we were going to be in the Auburn area just in time to do them.

A couple of weeks ago we met in Old Town Auburn to start a wonderful maternity session.  I absolutely love the charm of Old Town, which was perfect for Lea and Christian.  Can I just say they are both so photogenic that anywhere would have been perfect.  🙂  After a nice walk and many photos, we headed off for a home location just down the road for some bare belly shots.  I am so happy to have had the opportunity to document this wonderful time in their lives.

Congratulations Lea and Christian!!  I can’t wait to find out what your little surprise is.  I love that you are waiting to find out the gender.

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT Ann

My path here wasn't exactly straight, and I think that's what makes it worth telling.

I wasn't supposed to be a photographer. I was supposed to become a doctor. Neurobiology premed, on track, until my oldest son was diagnosed with epilepsy and life took a hard U-turn. I took a break and enrolled in photography classes I had always wanted to take but never could as a premed. On day two I knew. This was where I was supposed to be. Funny thing is, that analytical, detail-oriented part of me never left. It just shows up differently now, in the way I plan every session, read the light, and pay attention to the moments most people miss. I finished my degree in a year and a half, started my business the following October, and sixteen years later I still believe this is the gift God gave me to give to others. And I don't take that lightly.
