2023 Senior

Senior year for the class of 2023 is wrapping up and it is that time of year where all the last minute things are happening and it is becoming real that you will no longer be in high school. This is also the time of year that I tend to get calls needing to get in right away. Emma was so lucky that we had a break in our crazy weather so we could make it happen. And I was so excited to capture Emma’s senior portraits.

Being a portrait photographer I get the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people for all different types of sessions. However, high school seniors are one of my most favorite people to photograph. They are excited for the future, have big plans, are down for all the crazy ideas I have, and they have more style than I ever did at their age. haha!

Emma

Emma was truly a rockstar during her session. Between the cold weather and all the hiking I had her do, she killed it. Emma chose 2 wonderful locations and we were so glad the weather cooperated with us (even though it was COLD). We started out at the Horton Iris Garden. This location is one of my favorites and the light was perfection. Side note: If you are a photographer reading this, be sure to check with them before going there. They do require you make an appointment and there is a small fee. We then made our way to Cool, CA just before sunset. After a bit of a hike and having her dad do it twice (Thanks Dad for grabbing what I forgot. Dads rock!), we captured some pretty amazing images. You would never know she was fighting to keep the goosebumps away the whole time.
