Today marks 8 years of capturing memories for over 600 clients!!!

 

8 years ago today I officially opened my doors as Ann Keen Photography. I had no idea the ride it would take me on. It has been truly amazing and more than I could have even dreamed. Phoebe’s excitement above is so me right now! 8 years! Woot! Woot! 🙂

When I initially started to prepare for this post I thought I would go back and take one image from every session from day one to now and make one crazy big collage. Well, I got through about 2 years of pulling images and realized this would consume the whole blog. 🙂 And yes, the above mentioned over 600 clients is correct. I stopped counting after 600. That collage would have had over 600 images. A “big collage” didn’t even explain how big it really would be. Haha! 🙂 I dream big. So instead I reminisced over all the babies I got to love on, babies I captured being born, families I got to share in their special moments, all the couples I got to capture saying I do, all the magic I got to see in children’s eyes when sitting with Santa, all the headshots, classes, mentoring, and all the places this business has taken me. Such a blessing! You are all amazing for trusting in me to capture those times for you. You all have a huge place in my heart!

This last year I have taught classes, captured over 85 sessions/weddings/events, said goodbye for now to my studio space, moved my business back to my home, started a couple new ventures on top of photography (more info coming soon), traveled thousands of miles to capture memories, and hugged hundreds of people! Last year was fabulous!!!

 

Coming up this year…

This coming year has so much more in store, which I cannot wait to share. But here is a little teaser:

~~Lots more portraits, headshots, seniors, families, weddings, etc.

~~Photos with Santa at the Promenade in Downtown Auburn

~~An online store with helpful guides, e-books, and pdf goodness

~~A personal project that I am hoping to start in January. I will be needing people who want to be involved. So be on the look out for info.

~~For the last 5-ish years I have been using and loving oils and about 4 months ago became a Young Living distributor. I will be launching a site just for anyone interested in oils, toxic free cleaning, and so much more. ~~And a few more things that are in the works but you will have to wait on those. 🙂
