Senior year! When you are in elementary school it feels like you will always be in school. Then you blink and it is senior year. You are taking final tests, receiving acceptance letters, planning trips, buying the perfect dress for prom, planning your big graduation bash, packing for college, and saying goodbyes. There are a flood of emotions from excitement to anxiety to sadness to hope, and so many more in between. It is an exciting time. The thrill of moving out and starting your adult life is right at your fingertips. So to stop time for a brief moment during your senior year or to just get your mom off your back you have your senior portraits done amongst all the craziness. It is your time to shine! So that later you can look back and remember this end of childhood and the beginning of adulthood.
As a senior portrait photographer I get to experience a lot of that excitement with my seniors. Watching them light up when they talk about their future plans is truly my favorite part about capturing this time with them. Over the last almost 8 years, I have watched many seniors overcome trials, reach passed the stars and accomplish more than they could have imagined, and watched some change paths in the middle of things. I have mentored many and cried tears of joys at many graduation ceremonies. I bet you did not know that photographers could be so invested. ? I truly love my job and my clients become my friends. So I care for each of them. ??
This wasn’t any different for Isabella! I met Isabella through her grandmother and it was truly an honor. After starting her senior portraits in Old Town Auburn, CA, we drove out to her home for sunset. Isabella is a Del Oro High School graduate and is attending Chapman University. I cannot wait to see all she accomplishes.
After some fun shots at Isabella home we headed to the lake in Los Lagos Granite Bay. Besides the crazy mosquitos, it was a beautiful location to wrap up her session.
