Olivia ~ Del Oro Senior

Senior portraits are always such a blast to photograph. I love hearing about their accomplishments through the year and their hopes and dreams for the future. This year was full of so many amazing seniors with some outstanding plans.

A couple years ago I had the pleasure of capturing Olivia’s older sister’s senior portraits. So, when the reached out for Olivia’s portraits I was ecstatic. I couldn’t wait for her session, which would turn out to be an adventure.

The weather this year had bipolar plans. We had to reschedule 4 times due to crazy weather and rain. Thankfully the weather gave us a break for the final date we had set, or so we thought, and we headed out to hair and makeup. Our first location for photos went beautifully. We got in the cars to head to her home and it starts hailing on us. It subsided by the time we got to her house.

We get to the second location and the sky is beautiful. Until we look up only to notice a black cloud looming. We keep shooting only to realize that cloud is headed right for us. The portrait at the top is one of the last shots before the sky opened up and dumped hail, rain, and wind. We barely made it to the car before it is pouring buckets of hail for a good 30+ minutes.

We finally cave and head back to her house to capture photos inside. To say this session was an adventure would be an understatement. However, adventures always lead to an amazing time.

Olivia was amazing through it all. We got to get to know each other and she got a huge variety of images thanks to our bipolar weather.

I am so excited to see where her journey leads her. She recently graduated from Del Oro High School in Loomis, CA. Her next step is heading to Chapman University to major in biological sciences.

A little message to Olivia

Olivia, you are so beautiful inside and out. You truly are such a gift. Congratulations on all your accomplishments. Remember to always dream big. Thank you for having me capture this wonderful time in your life.
