La Sierra Graduate Ashley McMackin ~ Riverside Senior Photographer

July 19th, 2011

From the time they are born, parents hope they don’t grow too fast.  Then the day comes for them to go to kindergarten and some of us cry for this 1st big step.  The next thing you know your child is in middle school.  Only to blink and they are a senior in high school.  Time flies by too fast and with every year it seems to go faster and faster.  As a parent myself, I hope my kids grow really slow, and I am able to embrace and enjoy every moment through their journey.  I hope my kids turn out to be as amazing as Ashley. :)

Ashley just graduated from La Sierra High School.  She plans on taking the summer off, then she will be going to Riverside Community College for two years and transferring to a university. Like many students just starting out, Ashley plans on exploring her vast amount of options available for her to explore.  Her passion is Literature!  And boy did I notice that during our session. :)  As soon as she took out her book, you could tell she was in her element.  Some of her other loves include marine biology, philosophy, and photography (Yay!!).  Ashley, anytime you want to come along on a session just let me know. :)

For Ashley’s senior portraits we decided to start at the Mission Inn in Riverside.  As I have mentioned before, I love this venue.  It was perfect.  The textures, light, backgrounds, everything.  After utilizing the Mission Inn, we walked around a bit.  We photographed at the Public Library (which was perfect) and around the streets near the Mission Inn.  Ashley is a dream to photograph.  She was so photogenic that I hated our session to end.

I wish all the best for Ashley and can’t wait to see where life takes her. :)

Congrats Ashley!!!

Over the holidays I got the great pleasure to photograph an amazing senior. Although, I might be just a little partial since he is my brother. :) Without being biased, he is amazing. He has been through some hurdles in his life and has come out on top. He is involved in the Business Academy at La Sierra High School and loves it. Another one of his loves are his nephews and capturing their every move on his phone.

We had a blast at each of the three locations we went to in the Palm Springs area. It was quite an adventure and I am sure we will remember it forever! Here are a few of the images from his Senior Portrait Session.

Enjoy!
