2011 Year in Review ~ Palm Desert Portrait Photographer
Wow!! The last day of 2011. It seems like yesterday I was scrambling to get my blog up and running before the New Year. Thankfully I managed to do it with 2 minutes to spare. 39 posts and over 35,000 views later it is plugging along. :) This year I plan on making my blog more of a priority. So stay tuned for double the posts. Next week be on the look out for the last few posts from 2011 sessions at Disneyland, Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, and a few others. So much yumminess!
The last few days I have been narrowing down my faves of 2011 and wow so many amazing clients and fun times. I can’t help but smile as I go through them.
I am sure if one of my kids walked by they would have given me some crazy remark about smiling at my computer. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite images from 2011, completely random order. Some of the sessions featured have not made it to the blog yet and will be soon.
Thank you to all my wonderful clients and fans! This has been an amazing year and I cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store. May all of you have a wonderful New Year!
Monica and Ezekiel are Expecting ~ Indio Maternity Photographer
Approximately 29 weeks ago, Ezekiel had that feeling that many men say they have when they know their wife is pregnant, before their wife has any idea. Well, he sure knows his beautiful wife because sure enough she was about 8 weeks pregnant. A few months later Monica and I had our 1st conversation, and we hit it off from the beginning.
Just over a month ago, I met with Monica and Ezekiel for their maternity portraits. The morning of their session we spent time at their home and at the Coachella Valley Preserves. Through our ventures at the Preserves, I learned that Ezekiel tried and tried to take Monica on a hot air balloon ride in order to propose, but thanks to the desert winds it kept getting cancelled. So the last time it was cancelled, Ezekiel took Monica to his favorite place as a kid, the Preserves, and he proposed to his beautiful bride. Between being engaged there and Ezekiel spending time there as a child, the Coachella Valley Preserves is a very special place for them both. So, what a great place to share yet another very special time together.
That morning got warm quick and Monica was such a trooper. If you have been pregnant before you know what I mean. :/ The whole time Ezekiel was making sure she was ok. He would even blow on her face to help cool her off. They are such a sweet couple!
I am honored they chose me to capture this very special time. I can’t wait to get the call that they are on their way to the hospital. I may be a little partial know after getting to know them a little, but their baby is going to be so precious! :)

Thank you Monica and Ezekiel for sharing with me the Coachella Valley Preserves. It is truly a gem of the desert.
